    The LL.B. Program in Business Law is a full-time program. Each academic year is divided into two semesters.

    • Semester 1: August – December
    • Semester 2: January – May

    In each semester, courses normally last for 15 weeks. Some courses may be offered in summer. A summer course runs for at least 6 weeks, and the total teaching time must be equal to that of the courses offered during the normal semesters.

    Students are required to complete a minimum of 125 credits within 7 academic years, but no sooner than 7 semesters or three and a half academic years. For those who hold an undergraduate degree in subject areas other than law, the specified periods are reduced to 6 years and 6 semesters (three academic years) respectively.

    Program structure and courses

    In order to be awarded an LL.B. degree in Business Law, students are required to complete a minimum of 125 credits which shall consist of:

      • 30 credits of General Education Courses,
      • 89 credits of Specialized Courses and
      • 6 credits of Optional Courses any course offered by Thammasat University.

    General Education Courses (30 credits) of the 30 credits, students must complete a minimum of 21 credits from the following compulsory General Education Courses.

    • TU 100 Civic Engagement (3 credits)
    • TU 101 Thailand, ASEAN, and the World (3 credits)
    • TU 102 Social Life Skills (3 credits)
    • TU 103 Life and Sustainability (3 credits)
    • TU 104 Critical Thinking, Reading, and Writing (3 credits)
    • TU 105 Communication Skills in English (3 credits)
    • TU 106 Creativity and Communication (3 credits)

    Student may be exempted from taking language courses, TU 104 and TU 105 if you meet the requirements (TU-GET, TOEFL, IELTS, SAT).

    Another 9 credits must be collected from the following courses.

    Specialized Courses (89 credits) Specialized Courses are made up of Compulsory Courses and Designated Optional Courses. For Compulsory Courses, students must complete a minimum of 41 credits from the following options.

    At least 48 more credits are required through completion of Designated Optional Courses; which are categorized into Business Law Courses and Non-business Law Courses. Of the 48 credits, students must complete 36 credits of Business Law Courses and 12 credits of Non-business Law Courses from the following options.

    Optional Courses (6 credits) students are free to choose any course which is taught in English and offered by any faculty of Thammasat University to collect a minimum of 6 credits. Language courses from the list of General Education Courses (as seen above) may also be accepted. However, the following courses are always excluded.
