Narong Jaiharn has taught at Thammasat University Faculty of Law since 1979 and currently held an associate professorship. Dean Narong’s research and teaching focus on criminal law, criminal justice, human rights, decentralization and environmental law. He has prolifically conducted research on various subjects, especially criminal justice, and involved in numerous national law reform projects and committees including the Criminal Procedure Code Reform Commission and Decentralization Committee. Before taking up his current position in June 2013, Dean Narong was Vice Rector of Thammasat University between 2003 and 2004.
Dean Narong received an LL.B. and LL.M. degree from Thammasat University and was admitted to the Bar Council of Thailand. He earned another LL.M. from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
